My passion is working with vintage glass rhinestone jewels. They may be aged and sometimes a little worn around the edges, but they still possess a brilliance and elegance that makes them a timeless classic. The radiant gemstone colors and the weight and feel of the vibrant stones come together to create a spectacular piece of jewelry.

In my shop, you will find a rainbow variety of beautiful gemstone colored rhinestone necklaces, bracelets and earrings; many featuring vintage crystal and glass rhinestone jewels manufactured in West Germany and Japan, circa 1930-1950’s era. Most of these beautiful man-made jewels have laid untouched, in like new condition, tucked away in dusty warehouses in their original packaging for 60 years or longer.

♥ All metal components used to make the necklaces, bracelets and earrings in my shop are not vintage, but modern day metals that are nickel and lead free for your comfort and safety.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR COSTUME JEWELRY

♥ Costume jewelry pieces should be put on last and taken off first when dressing. This is because make-up, perfume and hairsprays can easily get onto the surface of your jewelry and will destroy the metal-plated finishes.

♥ Always place your costume jewelry in a plastic baggie, jewelry pouch or box so that dust won't easily get to it and destroy metal-plated finishes.

♥ You should never sleep in your costume jewelry or wear your jewelry in the shower or pool as body oils, soaps and chemicals can quickly destroy metal-plated finishes and give the jewelry piece an unpleasant dull look.

♥ Be aware that wearing perfumes and lotions around your neck or wrist can destroy metal finishes and alter the color of your costume jewelry.

♥ To clean your jewelry, gently wash surfaces with a soft cloth that is moistened with warm water. Wipe dry with a clean, dry, lint-free soft cloth to avoid scratching.

♥ Always store costume jewelry in a cool and dry place, inside a plastic baggie, jewelry pouch or box. A good deal of jewelry discoloration and tarnishing is due to oxidation, which requires exposure to air to take place.

♥ Be sure to store each jewelry piece separately in order to avoid dents and scratches that will occur from coming in contact with other jewelry.
